After School Program

SiVY Now Supports High School Bridge Clubs

SiVY bridge supports high school bridge clubs by offering or providing volunteer mentors, coaches and bridge supplies. Many of the youth in these clubs are active in other SiVY activities. Currently we are supporting clubs at:

  • Gunn High School
  • Half Moon Bay High School
  • Kehillah High School
  • King's Academy
  • Leland High School
  • Los Gatos High School
  • Lynbrook High School
  • Monta Vista High School
  • Mountain View High School
  • Palo Alto High School

Contact us at if you are interested in forming a club at your school or already have a club and want to be added to our list.

Leland High School Bridge Club

SiVY Bridge after school clubs are a great way for young people to learn bridge and also enjoy time with their friends. SiVY volunteers provide casual lessons and supervised play in a fun, social environment – all free of charge to the school and parents.

For many, the after school club is their first exposure to bridge; for others it's a way to share what they've learned at home with their fellow students. Some who have learned at SiVY school programs have gone on to form High School clubs or now play in duplicate games and tournaments.

SiVY Bridge after school programs have exposed hundreds of youth to bridge over the last 6 years.

Our school program uses a well-organized and proven curriculum. It is taught by trained volunteers who are both excellent bridge players and educators.

No experience is necessary. For students who wish to continue to play after the initial instruction, more advanced lessons will be made available through SiVY Bridge. Additionally, websites and online programs to continue their learning will be provided. Some youth bridge players go on to participate in regional, national, and even international tournaments.

SiVY Bridge will also invite your child to free events where they can learn more, compete in tournaments, and meet children from all over the Bay Area. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity for enrichment.
